ike Lorenzini's passion for surfing was born in the
raw, frigid, beautiful, and often terrifying waters of the
Oregon Coast. He immediately fell in love with the dynamic movement of the water and its hypnotic changing of forms and colors. It didn't take long for him to develop a passion for communicating this experience through art. Mike's fascination with the total aesthetic experience of surfing is what drives his work, and his paintings seek to capture the mystical and wild nature of the ocean. He has travelled, painted, and surfed in several countries around the world, and after a 3-year stint living and working in Japan, he's back in the Pacific Northwest. Mike's work has been featured in several publications, in west coast galleries, as well as private collections throughout the U.S. and Japan.
